“The Trustees also confirm that applicable UK accounting standards have been followed and that the financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the Trustees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the Group and Charitable Company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”

- “The Society's dispute with The Commissioners for Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC), over whether the supply of admission tickets to the Great Yorkshire Show qualifies for exemption, was finally settled in early 2025. The deadline for HMRC to seek leave to further appeal passed on 8 February 2025 without them so doing and, therefore, the matter is finally settled in the Society's favour.”
