- Going concern
- Affirmed
“In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the trustees' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the charitable company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue.”
Significant events
- “During the course of the year under review the trustees acquired the freehold of Lower Wortley Methodist Church; built in 1884 located near to New Farnley, Leeds, England. The property was acquired because of its development potential. Development works were ongoing at the end of the reporting period: at the time of writing the development works have been completed and the building brought into use. This landmark achievement is a significant advancement of the trustee's long term plans for the charity.”
