Material uncertainty over going concern
At the time of approving the financial statements, the company was dormant and there is no expectation that it will begin to trade in the future. The company holds the freehold title of a property owned by its parent and therefore it is unlikely that the parent would request repayment of any outstanding balances. However, the parent company intends to sell the investment property and may not continue in operational existence beyond completion of that sale. In light of this, the parent company has prepared its financial statements on a basis other than going concern. Accordingly, the directors have also adopted a basis other than going concern in preparing these financial statements. This basis of preparation does not affect the recognition or measurement of assets, liabilities, income or expenditure recorded in these financial statements.
