Significant events
- “The financial year ending 31 July 2025 was a challenging year. During this financial year there were major, sudden changes in the government's approach to funding programmes, particularly those delivering skills and community development. This included ending, rather than extending several programmes, as expected. This led to 3 redundancies and rapid pivoting to apply our expertise in new areas.”
- “We also took the difficult decision to begin negotiations to end our lease at Ocean Studios before the next break point in March 2027. This decision was prompted by rising costs at the same time as increasing economic pressure on artists.”
- “Lower usage of the Devonport Guildhall since Covid offered an opportunity to re-purpose the Guildhall as artists' studios and print-making facilities. Initial work began towards a move in the autumn of 2025.”
- “Alongside these challenges, new opportunities are opening up, both in terms of new models of contracting for work with young people facing challenges in Cornwall and linked to the emerging defence driven growth agenda in Plymouth.”
