Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
Ratios

| Ratio | Trend | 2023-12-31 | 2024-12-31 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Operating margin | -25.7% | 95.7% | |
| Return on capital employed | -0.1% | 20.6% | |

| Interest cover | -26.00x | — |
Margins divide P&L lines by turnover. Gearing is liabilities over total assets. Current ratio is current assets over creditors falling due within one year. Interest cover is operating profit over absolute finance costs. Margin ratios are hidden where reported turnover is too small relative to profit to yield a meaningful figure — typical of holding companies whose income is mostly subsidiary dividends rather than trading revenue. “After making enquiries and based on the assumptions outlined in note 2 to the financial statements, the Directors have concluded that the Company has adequate resources to meet its obligations as they fall due for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approving these financial statements. For this reason, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the directors' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue. The Company is a subsidiary of Amey UK Limited (the Group) and its financial resources are managed on a group basis. The Company is accordingly a cross-guarantor to certain liabilities of the Group as described in note 13 and the going concern assessment of the Company is intrinsically linked to the assessment for the Group as a whole. The Company has also received written confirmation from its parent undertaking, Amey UK Limited, that it will continue to provide financial support to the Company for a period of at least twelve months from the date of signing these financial statements in order to fund day-to-day operations and to meet liabilities to the extent that the Company is unable to do so.”
