This reduced in 2024/5 the increase in government funding from what would otherwise have been 7.3% to the actual 5%. Combined with increased total staff costs of 8%, the effect has been to reduce the previous annual cash based operating surplus to £47k in 2024/5 and a £13k deficit after routine capital expenditure.”
