- Going concern
- Affirmed
“The directors deem it appropriate to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the Company's financial statements. In arriving at this conclusion, the directors have carefully considered the Company's cash flow requirements over a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements. Sensitivity analysis has been performed to take into account, amongst other things, the matter disclosed at Note 19, and the directors have obtained comfort that through a combination of the Company's own cash reserves, and support from the wider group, the Company will be able to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period at least 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements.”
Significant events
- “During the year the company received Notice of VAT assessments totalling £17,964,464 relating to the period from 1 February 2021 to 31 Jul 2025. The assessments have been made on the basis of HMRC's belief that protein milk drinks should be standard-rated as 'sports drinks' for VAT purposes (under the Value Added Tax Act 1994 Schedule 8, Group 1, Excepted Item No. 4A). The company has appealed the assessments, after taking legal and accounting advice, on the basis that the protein milk drinks are not 'sports drinks' and have been appropriately treated as zero-rated for VAT purposes.”
