Gearing is liabilities over total assets. Current ratio is current assets over creditors falling due within one year. Interest cover is operating profit over absolute finance costs. Margin ratios are hidden where reported turnover is too small relative to profit to yield a meaningful figure — typical of holding companies whose income is mostly subsidiary dividends rather than trading revenue. Significant events
- “Management has decided to pause its build programme of its Network until further funding is secured. As a result, management has assessed that this constitutes a potential indicator of impairment for County Broadbands fibre network.”
- “Management decided that unused build materials recognised as fixed assets that were not used and wasted build costs where parts of the networks would become dead ends as a result of the decision to stop building, would have to be impaired. An impairment charge of £5,602,768 (2023: nil) was made.”
