“In assessing the appropriateness of the going concern basis of preparation, the directors have exercised significant judgement. This assessment involved a detailed review of the company's profit and loss and cash flow forecasts covering a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of the financial statements. The directors considered the group's wider business plans and funding arrangements when reviewing these forecasts. A key judgement underpinning this assessment is the continued financial support from the intermediate parent company, Envases Germany Holdings GmbH, and the ultimate EEA parent company, Envases Europe A/S. Both entities have confirmed their intention not to dispose of the UK business or demand repayment of intercompany loans within the next 12 months. Furthermore, they have provided an unconditional letter of support confirming their intent to assist Envases Liverpool Ltd in meeting its future liabilities as they fall due. Based on these factors, the directors have concluded that it remains appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.”
