“The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. Dragons Rugby continues to play professional rugby union and has sufficient funding available to do so as planned for the foreseeable future. The Group is reliant on support of its investors, the WRU, goodwill of fans, commercial partners and directors. The funding agreement has been agreed with the WRU, providing further certainty over funds and cash flow, and in addition the primary investors have entered into a binding agreement to financially support the Group as required. The directors have prepared cash flow forecasts for a period of 12 months from the date of approval of these financial statements. The forecasts indicate the Group will have sufficient funds to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of at least 12 months from the approval of the accounts.”

• “Post year-end an agreement was signed with the loan provider to convert £2,813,00 of the loan balance to equity. This debt to equity conversion will lead to the Group reporting a net asset position on the consolidated balance sheet. Post year-end it was confirmed that the 65 preference shares of £100,000 each will be cancelled and extinguished. This will result in an improvement to the net liabilities position on the balance sheet of £6,500,000.”
