Each % is (latest − prior) ÷ |prior| for the line item as filed. The comparison is only shown when the latest and prior accounts cover broadly equal-length periods — short or long stubs (typical around incorporation or a year-end change) are suppressed rather than misrepresented. Lines a company doesn't report are omitted. About these numbers
Ratios
Computed from the line items above — sparklines read oldest → newest
| Ratio | Trend | 2022-12-31 | 2023-12-31 | 2024-12-31 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Return on capital employed | — | -227.2% | -38.7% | |
| Gearing (liabilities / total assets) | — | 154.6% | 206.6% | |
| Current ratio | 0.88x | 0.14x | 0.66x | |
| Interest cover | -7.35x | -5.72x | -3.39x |
Gearing is liabilities over total assets. Current ratio is current assets over creditors falling due within one year. Interest cover is operating profit over absolute finance costs. Margin ratios are hidden where reported turnover is too small relative to profit to yield a meaningful figure — typical of holding companies whose income is mostly subsidiary dividends rather than trading revenue. “In auditing the financial statements, we have concluded that the Directors' use of the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of the financial statements is appropriate. Based on the work we have performed, we have not identified any material uncertainties relating to events or conditions that, individually or collectively, may cast significant doubt on the company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of at least twelve months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue. We draw attention to note 2 (page 16) of the financial statements, where the Directors' assessment of going concern includes reliance on the continuing financial support provided by the ultimate parent company.”
Significant events
- “An impairment charge of £226,444 has been made to write down the carrying value of a right of use asset for a property lease to £nil. The property was vacated in June 2024 and has a recoverable amount of £nil. The Company continues to recognise the lease, see note 17, until June 2025 which is the break date of the lease and when the Company can legally exit the contract.”
