“In assessing whether the financial statements for the Company should be prepared on the going concern basis, the directors have considered the future outlook of the Company and of the Sysco GB Limited Group on a combined basis. The directors have considered the future operating results, cash flows and facilities available. At the period end, the Company had net current assets amounting to £8,523k (31 December 2023: £6,616k). The ultimate parent undertaking, Sysco Corporation, has confirmed that they will continue to provide support to the Company to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and in meeting its liabilities as and when they fall due, but only to the extent that the Company is not otherwise able to meet such liabilities. The directors' have assessed the performance of Sysco Corporation and they are generating profit after tax for the year ending and as at 28 June 2025 of USD$1,828m (£1,332m) with USD$1,071m (£781m) cash and USD$1,830m (£1,334m) of net assets.. On the basis of their assessment of the Company's financial position and performance and of enquiries made to Sysco Corporation, the Company's directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company will be able to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future and have accordingly adopted the going concern basis of accounting in the preparation of these financial statements.”
