“The Company is a holding company and has minimal day-to-day working capital requirements which are covered by its cash reserves and investment income. The directors have prepared forecasts and projections, taking account of reasonable possible changes in the performance of its investments, which show that the Company is expected to have a sufficient level of financial resources available to meet its liabilities as they fall due for a period of not less than one year from the approval of these financial statements. The current economic situation and cost of living crisis has not unduly impacted the underlying trading investments given the nature of the industry they operate in. The company is not reliant on dividends from its investee companies in order to fund its own liabilities as they fall due. Consequently, the Directors are confident that the Group and Company will have sufficient funds to continue to meet its liabilities as they fall due for at least 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements and therefore have prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis.”
