Margins divide P&L lines by turnover. Gearing is liabilities over total assets. Current ratio is current assets over creditors falling due within one year. Interest cover is operating profit over absolute finance costs. Margin ratios are hidden where reported turnover is too small relative to profit to yield a meaningful figure — typical of holding companies whose income is mostly subsidiary dividends rather than trading revenue. “Based on projected cash requirements and available funding resources from Squarepoint affiliates, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources (both financial and regulatory) to continue in operational existence for a period of twelve months from the date of authorization of financial statements. The directors are not aware of any material uncertainties that may cast significant doubt upon the Company's ability to continue as a going concern for a period of 12 months from when the financial statements are authorised for issue. Accordingly, they continue. to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements. We do not foresee any impact on the entity's ability to continue as a going concern for the next twelve months and the ultimate Parent, Squarepoint Holdings Limited, has committed to providing additional funding in the event that it is required to fund the Company's continuing operations.”

Significant events
- “The Company, jointly with an affiliated entity, has guaranteed the obligations of a group entity in relation to a 20-year lease of office spaces. The lease commences upon completion of development works and is non-cancellable for the first 15 years following commencement. The undiscounted rental payments guaranteed over the 15-year non-cancellable period are approximately £430 million, excluding service charge and other costs associated with the break option. The Directors consider the likelihood of the guarantee being called to be remote and, accordingly, no provision has been recognised in these financial statements.”
